Favourite Title Sequence

One of my favourite films which is Skyfall has a very effective title sequence as it is a title using animation or motion therefore allowing it to become part of a moving image , this requires digital technology and stylized editing.

It starts off by introducing us to the main character ( James Bond) which then fades into another image of two people holding hands under water following the producers nnamesand company appearing. Then they start to introduce all the different actors in the film starting off with the main actor Daniel Craig. Then the co-producers followed by a close up of James Bond eye which then goes into another image introducing the sound recordist, script supervisor, electrical supervisor and second unit assistant director. Which then further tells us all the different hair/ make up artists that took part during the filming and all the different photographers, producers, directors etc. This last for three minutes and 51 seconds as it is a block buster film so it had a lot of people involded with the filming and editing therefore this is the reason why the title credits is so long. Where as a small independent film wouldnt have as many credits due to the fact that it would have less cast and people involved with the editing and filming.
This title sequence is a good example as it demonstrates what the film is going to be about and gives the audience a idea as it is a action film therefore the reason why the title sequence includes a lot of movement.
